The Matrix
In the near future, a computer hacker named Neo (Keanu Reeves) discovers that all life on Earth may be nothing more than an elaborate facade created by a malevolent cyber-intelligence, for the purpose of placating us while our life essence is "farmed" to fuel the Matrix's campaign of domination in the "real" world. He joins like-minded Rebel warriors Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie Ann Moss) in their struggle to overthrow the Matrix.
The Matrix: Reloaded
Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, and the rest of their crew continue to battle the machines that have enslaved the human race in the Matrix. As their quest unfolds, Neo learns more about his super-heroic abilities, including the ability to see the codes of the people and things around him. Simultaneously, now, more humans are waking up out of the Matrix and attempting to live in the real world. As their numbers grow, the battle moves to Zion--the last real-world city and center of human resistance.
The Matrix: Revolutions
It is a dark time for the world. Neo is trapped in the "Train Station", between the Matrix and the Source. Zion is doomed to be crushed under an unstoppable army of countless Sentinels. But it is not only the human race that is in peril. The machines press ever onward against the humans, unaware that one force within the Matrix has slowly been growing, and has taken over that world completely: Smith. There is only one hope for both races, the one force that can stop Smith, and that is Neo. One final battle must ensue. And the outcome of this battle will decide the fate and future of both races.

Tanathir's Muse

Because The Matrix is the movie of origin for the term "deir-ty" this film will be featured in more detail than Hugo's other films.
Several subsections for your browsing ease:
The Matrix
The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Revolutions
Enter the Matrix
hopefully adding Muse-inspiring pictures soon

Although Tanathir doesn't have one specific favorite Hugo movie, she really likes The Matrix.  It brought the deirtiness.  It brought the Smithiness, which has become Tanathir's Mister Muse, and inspired her to write a Matrix-based fan fiction, Conversations With Smith.  It's only fitting that this series of movies be featured on this deir-ty site.
